Community

Troop 524 believes strongly in giving back to the community, as a way of doing good for others. "Do a Good Turn Daily" is a core Scouting precept, and we encourage boys to recognize the needs of others and take action accordingly. Scouting works through neighborhoods, volunteer organizations, and faith-based organizations to help young people appreciate and respond to the needs of others.

Troop 524 was the first organization in the City of Coon Rapids to elect to receive the AED & CPR training needed for city wide certification.  We also purchased an AED for use in our Troop trailer, helping to reach the required number of AED's needed in the community.

We continue to outreach and support the efforts of the organization.
