Boy Scout Troop 524 is a unique troop that focuses on advancement, leadership, and service. We create experiences that last a lifetime for our scouts, through camping, adventure, and fun. We have been around for 59 years and have 155 Eagle Scouts who have risen through the ranks due to personal motivation fostered by engaged adult leaders, helping each scout to succeed. We would love to have you join our troop, so that you too can learn skills which will prepare you for life.

Troop 524 participates in adventures you may have never imagined before such as climbing a tower half the height of the worlds tallest, whitewater kayaking, sailing, rock climbing at Taylor's Falls and many more. Visit our Event page to see our latest upcoming events and adventures!

Leadership and Advancement go hand in hand

Troop 524 scouts learn valuable leadership skills in many ways, such as, yearly Youth Leadership Training, holding troop positions, and as event coordinators. Along with leadership skills scouts advance in rank as they put these skills to use in our many leadership opportunities for scouts. Our goal is to help a scout achieve what they want from the scouting program, whether it be the Eagle Scout Award, or simply having fun with friends and spending time in the outdoors our goal is to make each scout have the best experience possible and our 30+ adult leaders work to make this a reality.
