Troop 524 Fundraiser

 

  • We will be selling concessions at the Coon Rapids Dam this summer.

  • Concerts are Thursday nights.

  • Each scout has signed up for an evening, if you cannot make your patrol’s night, you are responsible to find a replacement for your position.

  • These funds go toward Troop operating cost, if you are a member of Troop 524, you must work a shift.

  • Arrive at 5:30 pm at the Coon Rapids Dam

  • Park in lower or middle lot and walk in.

Troop 524 Cycling Merit Badge
Will Start April 3, 2023 at 5:30 PM before Troop meeting and every week through April 24th at Mr. Sullivan's House - 2647 116th Ln. Coon Rapids. (Meeting dates and time may change due to troop meeting places)

April 17   The scouts should have their bikes in working order by next weeks Inspection.
April 24, Bring your bike and helmet to class. I will be Inspecting Them for Mechanical and Safety issues.

 

 

Riding schedule:

All rides will start at Epiphany at 6 PM. In case of rain or inclement weather I will notify all by e-mail before 4 PM. I could use some help of the parents to ride with the Scouts. (See note below)

Coin Collecting Merit  Badge
March 19th, 2022 - Earle Brown Heritage Center, 6155 Earle Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430

 

Scouts, would you like to earn your Coin Collecting Merit Badge in just one day? Then you, your Troop or any Scouts you may know are invited to attend a class hosted by the Northwest Coin Club! The class takes place during our annual Northwest Money Show and you will have an opportunity to visit the show during class.

​

Both the show and class are held at the Earle Brown Heritage Center, 6155 Earle Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430. The class is on Saturday morning March 19th. Check in time begins at 8:30 and the class will run from 9:00 am to between 1:30 & 2:00pm. There will be Whitman Merit Badge Coin Folders available to each attendee. There are some coins you’ll need to collect in order to complete the class. Please refer to this downloadable workbook and to this requirement resources in the attachments below.

Registration is required!  To Register I need... 

  1. Each Scout’s name and Troop number.

  2. An emergency contact and phone number for each Scout for the day of the class.

  3. Bring your own worksheets and pencil. (complete as much as you can)

Epiphany Fish Fry
March 18th, 2022 - Epiphany Church, Lunch Room

​

Scouts, Epiphany has asked for our help at the fish fry this year.  We have March 18th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

​

Working the Epiphany fish fry clearing tables. Any one who works will get a free meal at the end of the shift. 4 carts two scouts per cart two shifts 4:30 to 5:30 and then 5:30 to 6:30.

​

We will have signups at the front table at the next couple troop meetings.

​

This does count towards Service Hours.

​

February 19th, 2022 - Fred C Anderson Scout Camp

 

8 fun stations to challenge even the most seasoned Scout, and the traditional sled race will round out this fun outdoor winter event! Scouts can build on their skills while practicing team-building and problem-solving.
